When Families Need Stretcher Transportation From Hospice to Home

Families often reach out when they want to bring a loved one home from hospice care. When the patient cannot sit upright for transportation, stretcher transport can help make that transition possible.

Stretcher transportation allows the patient to remain lying down during the ride while being transported safely between locations. This type of transport is commonly used for hospice patients who are moving between care locations or returning home.

Many of these transports are one way trips. For example, a patient may be transported from a hospice facility back home to spend time with family or to continue care in a different setting.
