For many individuals receiving dialysis or ongoing medical care, transportation becomes part of a regular routine. Dialysis appointments often occur multiple times per week, and having reliable transportation can make a big difference in keeping those appointments consistent.
Wheelchair transportation can help make these recurring trips easier and more comfortable. Our vehicles are equipped to safely transport individuals who use wheelchairs while ensuring they are properly secured during the ride.
Many dialysis patients travel to appointments several times each week. Because these trips happen on a recurring schedule, our team works to organize transportation in a way that keeps things consistent for the patient and their care team.
We ask that recurring transportation requests be submitted through our online quote form so our team can review the schedule and coordinate the details. Dialysis transportation often involves multiple weekly trips, specific appointment times, and ongoing scheduling, so reviewing everything in advance helps ensure the transportation runs smoothly.
When submitting your request, please include the pickup and drop-off locations, the days of the week transportation is needed, and the appointment times. If there are any special instructions or mobility considerations our team should know about, please include that information in the request.
If you are hoping to use insurance to pay for transportation, you will need to contact your insurance carrier first to verify whether your plan includes a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) benefit. If the benefit is available, the insurance company will provide instructions on how the transportation should be scheduled. In many cases, the trip must be arranged directly through the insurance transportation provider or broker.
Skyline Transport provides wheelchair transportation services throughout Hillsborough County and Pinellas County in Florida and works with individuals, families, dialysis centers, and care facilities to help coordinate recurring transportation needs.
If you have questions or would like assistance, you may call our team at 800-515-8028 Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can also submit a Request for Quote online and a member of our team will review the information and follow up regarding availability, logistics, and next steps.
