What areas does Skyline Transport serve?

Skyline Transport serves all of Hillsborough County — including Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Apollo Beach, Seffner, and Sun City Center — and South Pinellas County, including St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, and Gulfport.

Does insurance cover my ride?

In Florida, NEMT providers cannot bill insurance directly. Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card to verify your transportation benefits. If eligible, your carrier will transfer you to a third-party broker such as Alivi Health, MTM, Modivcare, or SafeRide. Skyline Transport (NDI Health Services) is currently in-network with Alivi Health.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend booking at least 24 to 48 hours in advance. For stretcher transport, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required. For recurring trips like dialysis or chemotherapy, we can set up a standing schedule.

What is the difference between wheelchair transport and ambulatory transport?

Wheelchair transport is for passengers who need to remain seated in their wheelchair during the trip using our lift-equipped vans. Ambulatory transport is for passengers who can walk independently but need extra support and door-to-door assistance.

Is Skyline Transport licensed and insured?

Yes. Skyline Transport is fully licensed, insured, and operates in compliance with Florida AHCA requirements. We carry commercial medical transport insurance on all vehicles and all drivers are trained and background checked.

Can a family member or caregiver ride along?

Yes. We welcome one companion on every trip at no additional charge. You should never have to travel to a medical appointment alone.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept debit cards, credit cards, CareCredit, and insurance-coordinated payment through Alivi Health where applicable.

Why can't I use Uber or Lyft for wheelchair transportation?

Florida regulations prohibit rideshare drivers from performing wheelchair securement, patient transfers, or stretcher transport. Skyline Transport vehicles are ADA-compliant, lift-equipped, and covered by commercial medical transport insurance on every trip.

Our ADA-compliant vans feature electric BraunAbility lifts and securement systems for wheelchairs and power scooters. Passengers remain safely in their mobility device for the entire ride—no transfers needed.

Our stretcher transport service is designed for clients who must remain lying down during travel. Vehicles are equipped with professional-grade stretchers, seat belts, and trained staff to ensure comfort, stability, and care throughout every trip.

Providing reliable transportation for patients who are unable to drive after anesthesia or sedation. We assist individuals leaving surgery centers, endoscopy clinics, and medical offices.

Our stair chair service assists clients who need help navigating stairs when ramps or elevators aren’t available. Trained staff use specialized stair chairs designed for safe, controlled movement up or down steps, ensuring comfort and stability from start to finish.

In Florida, NEMT providers cannot bill insurance directly. Coverage is managed through third-party transportation brokers who work on behalf of your insurance carrier. To find out if your plan includes transportation benefits, you will need to call your insurance carrier using the member services number on the back of your insurance card. They will verify your eligibility and, if you qualify, transfer you to your plan's designated transportation broker — such as Alivi Health, MTM, Modivcare, or SafeRide — who will schedule and manage your trip. Skyline Transport (NDI Health Services) is currently in-network with Alivi Health. If your plan uses Alivi, you can request Skyline Transport (NDI Health Services) as your preffered provider.

Here is how the process works, step by step: 1. Call your insurance carrier using the member services number on the back of your card and ask about your transportation benefits. 2. If eligible, your carrier will transfer you to a third-party transportation broker — such as Alivi Health, MTM, Modivcare, or SafeRide. 3. The broker verifies your eligibility and schedules your trip. They do not provide the transportation themselves. 4. The broker contacts a provider in their network to complete your ride. Skyline Transport is currently in-network with Alivi Health.

Alivi Health is a third-party transportation broker that manages trip scheduling on behalf of certain insurance carriers in Florida. Skyline Transport (NDI Health Services) is currently in-network with Alivi Health, which means if your insurance plan uses Alivi as its transportation manager, Skyline Transport may be assigned to complete your ride. Your insurance carrier will let you know if Alivi manages your transportation benefit when you call to verify.

At this time, Skyline Transport (NDI Health Services) is in-network with Alivi Health only. If your insurance plan uses a different broker such as MTM, Modivcare, or SafeRide, your broker will assign a provider from their own network. We are working to expand our network partnerships.
